April Membership Meeting


Event Details


Our April Membership Meeting is on April 17, from 7-9 PM at the Phinney Neighborhood Center – Lower Building (6615 Dayton Ave N).

This month we welcome constitutional law professor, Andrew Siegel of the Seattle University School of Law. Discussion will include:

  • Since Kavanaugh has been on the court, what cases on docket?
  • If we get white house back in 2020, can we expand the Supreme Court/lower courts
  • Constitutional Convention, strategy?

We will also consider a resolution:

Finally, the board recommends adding an additional Neighborhood Committee Officer (NCO) to the Executive Board (pos. 6). If a motion passes by a majority vote, an election will take place on 4/17 for a new NCO to join the Political Team! To date, one candidate has expressed interest, Katie Lillie, PCO 1756. Email Nicole Gomez as soon as possible if you are also interested in running for that seat.

It’s a new year and dues are due!  If you haven’t already, please renew your membership today to support voter education and boosting Democratic turnout in the 36th.  Membership dues secure the right to vote at 36th meetings (including on endorsements) for registered voters in the 36th.  Renew your dues today!

To vote at our May endorsement meeting, renew your membership by 11:59 p.m. on April 27.

Save the Date:  Endorsement Meeting May 22nd

Our organization generally meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month from January to October.  However, we will be meeting the 4th Wednesday in May, so that our endorsement meeting will occur after the filing deadline for candidates.  Join us Wednesday, May 22nd, 7:00 – 9:00 PM at the Phinney Neighborhood Center.
