Legislative District Caucuses, March 14: Official Call

E-mail Print PDF
UPDATE:  Deadline to submit resolutions or join the platform-drafting process changed to 5:00 pm, Monday, March 8, 2010. Email jeffmanson1@gmail.com by then with a proposed resolution or to join the platform committee.

It is my honor to issue this Official Call and welcome you to attend the 2010 Legislative District Caucuses and Nominating Convention on Sunday, March 14th at Salmon Bay School (1815 NW 65th Street, Seattle), starting at 1 pm.

This year’s 2010 Legislative District Caucuses will be slightly different than 2008. First, we will not have precinct level caucuses this year and instead we’ll start at the Legislative District Caucus level. At the Caucuses on March 14th, we will also be focused on electing delegates and alternates to the State Convention and updating our Democratic platform.

Immediately following the conclusion of our Caucuses, we’ll invite our
elected and appointed Precinct Committee Officers to select the Democratic nominees for State House and State Senate.

Included in this call are the Official Rules for both the Caucuses and the
Nominating Convention, the Agenda for the day and guidelines and deadlines on how to submit resolutions. Please take a moment to read the rules and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me. We’ll also have more updated information here on our website.

I look forward to your participation at the Caucuses and Nominating Convention this year. This is an important part of our political process and is also a lot of fun. I hope you’ll be able to make it.

Sincerely,
alt
