Come meet the candidates vying to serve on the Seattle City Council (in districts that overlap the 36th LD) and help pick the winners by participating in this straw poll organized by the 36th District Democrats. This will be held in the upper building of the Phinney Neighborhood Center.
Join us for refreshments and hors d’oeuvres as we mix and mingle with the City Council candidates and listen to them give speeches on top of an old-fashioned soap box as they court the straw poll vote. Candidates will respond to questions on all range of topics such as affordable housing, transportation and transit, education, public safety, and others.
Straw Poll will be for these 5 races that overlap with the 36th LD:
Council District 5: Sandy Brown, Debora Juarez
Council District 6: Mike O’Brien, Catherine Weatbrook
Council District 7: Sally Bagshaw, Deborah Zech-Artis
Council Position 8: Tim Burgess, Jon Grant
Council Position 9: Bill Bradburd, Lorena González
