The 36th District Democrats general membership meeting will be on Wednesday, October 18, at 7 PM, at the Phinney Neighborhood Center Lower Building (6615 Dayton Ave N).
We will have a panel to speak about what’s next for environmental issues in Washington state. We’ll discuss possible carbon pricing and carbon tax proposals, lessons learned on recent environmental issues, and future plans for Washington state. We’ll also discuss how to ensure that we consider equity—for those at the bottom of the WA economic ladder who already feel the brunt of WA’s regressive tax system—when shaping environmental proposals.
