The Platform Committee of the 2014 Washington State Democratic Convention has put forth the first draft of its Committee Report for public comment. This draft was prepared at meetings on May 3rd and 4th in Seattle, and on May 18th in Ellensburg.
The report of the Platform Committee will consist of a draft platform, and recommend actions (pass or do not pass) for all resolutions submitted to the State Convention by LD Caucuses, County Conventions, or any group of 25 delegates. Under the proposed Rules for the Convention, the Platform Committee also has the authority to amend submitted resolutions when necessary.
The draft Platform Committee Report will be available for public comment until May 29th, and comments submitted during this time will be considered by the Platform Committee at their next meeting on May 31st.
